Description

This is a pipe rehabilitation method of creating a composite pipe by spirally winding a PVC (polyvinyl chloride) profile inside an existing pipe and filling the gap between them with grout material.
If the existing pipe is deteriorated and its strength cannot be relied on, this method can be applied as a stand-alone pipe rehabilitation technique.

Features

  1. Installation is possible even in sewer pipes that are in service.
  2. Enables rehabilitation of circular pipes, horseshoe-shaped conduits, rectangular conduits, and others.

Specifications

SPR Method (Composite Pipe)

  • Applicable existing pipe diameter: 250~6,000 mm
  • Pipe-forming methods: Push-type & Self-propelled (See diagrams above)

SPR-NX Method (Composite Pipe)

  • Reduces risk of water level rise and rainfall overflow due to cross-sectional obstruction during installation
  • Applicable existing pipe diameter: 800~2,200 mm
  • Pipe-forming methods: One type: Self-propelled (see diagram above)

SPR-SE Method (Stand-alone Pipe)

  • Applicable existing pipe diameter: 450~2,000 mm
  • Pipe-forming methods: Two types: Pull-type & Self-propelled (see diagrams above)
    Pull-type/Circular: 450~900 mm
    Self-propelled/Circular: 800~2,000 mm

Track Record

As of the end of FY2024, installations total 1,707 km in Japan and 199 km overseas (in 21 countries), reflecting growing demand not only domestically but also internationally.
